Minecraft Unity
Minecraft Unity is a safe, fully moderated Minecraft server designed to give tamariki aged 8-14 a fun, creative space to build, connect, and grow. With a focus on community, collaboration, and personal development, Minecraft Unity goes Beyond Play-turning screen time into meaningful learning.
Our vetted community and supportive instructors ensure a positive, inclusive environment where tamariki can express themselves, take on challenges, and make lasting friendships with peers from across Aotearoa.
We offer two options to suit every student:
- Club Edition (Ages 8-14) | Social Club Tuesday's 4-5pm Club Edition is the core of Minecraft Unity-a safe, creative space where tamariki can play, build, and connect in a fully moderated, ad-free environment. Members get full server access (7am-9pm NZDT) and can join our optional Social Club every Tuesday at 4:00 PM for fun group activities that encourage collaboration and friendship. Social clubs will run 10 weeks each term, with additional events announced on our Discord server.
- Team-building Edition (Ages 10-14) | Team-building workshop Wednesday's 4-5pm The Team-building Edition offers everything from Club Edition - plus access to our exclusive weekly 1-hour teamwork and leadership workshop on Wednesday's from 4-5pm. Designed for tamariki aged 10+, this edition provides a structured experience focused on collaboration, planning, and soft-skill development in an exclusive "Challenge World" that students can access only during session times. Our team-building workshop is delivered over a 10 week course each term, but students will still have full access to the social server outside of these sessions.
There are no hidden costs, and membership includes full access to the server. Minecraft Unity supports both Java Edition (Windows/MacOS/Linux) and Bedrock Edition (Windows & iPad). However with Bedrock Edition there are some limited features. We highly recommend Java Edition for a smoother and more fun experience.

Membership Details
Server Access
All membership options gives your child access to the Minecraft Unity Servers which are open from 7am - 9pm NZDT every day. Our servers are only accessible to verified club members and moderated by the Beyond Play team. The server is strictly available to ages 8-14 to ensure that students are similarly aged.
Unity Social Club
Club members will also have access to our weekly Unity Social Clubs held on Tuesday's @ 4pm. This is an optional event (but we think you'll love it). Sessions are ~1hr long and include a mix of chats, play, events, challenges, and mini-games designed to help students make friends with like minded individuals.
Server Details
Our servers offer something for everyone-whether your child loves survival, creative, or pvp mode, we've got it covered! With exclusive features like pets and an in-game economy, Minecraft Unity is designed to promote collaboration and community.
Discord Community
Students will gain access to our private Discord community, where they can stay updated with weekly announcements, events, and activities. Students are grouped by age and given access to dedicated text channels where they can chat and connect with friends outside of scheduled social sessions in a safe moderated environment.

2. Verification
Book in an online video call with our instructors to verify your child's age. (Only required for students who are new to Beyond Play)
3. Join our Server
We will provide all the information required to login to our private Minecraft Server and Discord Community.
4. Timetable
Social Clubs will be held on Tue 4-5pm
Team-building workshops will be Wed 4-5pm
