Mathematics Workshops for Home School Students | Beyond Play

Mathematics.

Full Year | NZ Curriculum | Year 7 - 10 | Problem Solving | Logical Thinking | Communication

Mathematics with Beyond Play is designed to give homeschool students flexibility and support without the pressure of traditional classroom learning.

Students begin by learning new concepts through short, self-paced video lessons. These can be paused, rewatched, and revisited at any time, allowing students to move at a pace that works for them and spend extra time where they need it most.

Alongside the videos, students use IXL for targeted practice. This helps reinforce skills, build confidence, and identify areas where extra support may be needed.

Each week, students attend a 1-hour live online session (Wednesdays, 9-10am) for Years 7-10. These sessions focus on problem-solving, asking questions, and applying concepts. Not first-time teaching. Students learn together, get tutor guidance, and connect with peers in a supportive environment.

The curriculum is flexible and responsive. Each week, content is adapted based on the questions students ask and the areas they find challenging. Additional videos, examples, and practice are added as needed to support student learning.

The program runs year-round and is offered as a flexible monthly subscription. Families can join at any time and pause when needed. The cost is $25 per week, billed monthly. If are a family with multiple children joining us, let us know and we can provide you a sibling discount. :)
